Founded in 2001, the Texas Higher Education Foundation proudly serves as the official nonprofit partner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (Coordinating Board). Through our work, we strive to dramatically increase higher education access and success for all Texas students. Each year the Foundation’s Board of Trustees prioritize programs and initiatives that are in need of funding beyond that which the state provides. To date, the Foundation has supported those programs and initiatives by raising over $21 million in donations and pledges.

Today, in keeping with our mission, we are dedicated to ensuring the success of the state’s higher education strategic plan, 60x30TX. Our founding principles of collaboration, equity, and accountability guide us as we partner with ISDs, colleges, universities, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to advance 60x30TX’s bold goals.

The Foundation is a GuideStar Platinum nonprofit. This is the highest level of recognition achievable by GuideStar, and signifies the Foundation’s demonstrated commitment to transparency and to giving donors and supporters meaningful information.
