The Texas Higher Education Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Through our work, we strive to lead and inspire support to meet the higher education and workforce needs of our state’s students, businesses, and communities.
To date, the Foundation has raised more than $23 million to advance higher education in Texas. Our work focuses on raising funds, building partnerships, and implementing strategies that support the state’s higher education priorities.
We believe the state’s higher education plan, 60x30TX, will lead us to a future where Texas is among the highest achieving states in the nation. This vision fuels the Foundation’s mission to foster and further evidence-based initiatives that positively impact postsecondary outcomes in Texas.
Reinforcing all of our work is the firm conviction that higher education improves the lives of Texans and is key to a thriving Texas economy.
Since 2001, when it was formed as a designated 501(c)(3) by three Coordinating Board members, the Foundation’s core principles of collaboration, equity, and accountability have served to guide Trustees and staff as the Foundation partners with ISDs, postsecondary institutions, businesses, foundations, government agencies, and other nonprofits.
The Foundation holds to the highest standards as it incorporates the following organizational beliefs into every aspect of its work:
- The upmost level of stewardship and fiduciary responsibility is vital to maintaining trust with our stakeholders.
- We value diverse views, experiences, and perspectives, and we are committed to investing time and energy in effective, inclusive, and sustainable partnerships.
The Foundation is a GuideStar Platinum nonprofit. This is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar and demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to sharing detailed measures of progress and transparency.
