Texas Emergency Aid Grants

Texas Emergency Aid program

At the onset of the pandemic, thousands of students across Texas were at risk of dropping out of college because of economic disruption. With $1.25M raised, this THEF program was able to serve 86 two-year and four-year, public and private Texas institutions of higher education and provide resources to meet needs for housing, health care, technology, and childcare. Funds were also used for indirect support, by providing access to food pantries, clothes closets, etc.

Through this program, over 9,000 students were served, and 93% of those receiving direct aid were able to continue their academic journey.
